Anacampseros subnuda var. lubbersii flower

Anacampseros subnuda var. lubbersii flower

A macro photograph of the flower of the tiny succulent, Anacampseros subnuda var. lubbersii (previously Anacamseros lubbersii). Andrew Hankey from the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden tells me that this is the original plant that Mr. Lubbers discovered near Middelburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Anacampseros is from the Greek anakampto (to recover) & eros (love). It was believed that the plant would bring back love if touched.
